HOW DID I END UP HERE?

Jasmine Bowman was born on June 27, 1996 in Washington, DC to Joseph and Cherie. She was raised in District Heights, MD with her sisters Jolisa and Shemia. At an early age, Jasmine found herself being heavily animated and imaginative. Her sisters also introduced her to a variety of hip-hop artists at a young age. This is where her love of music first piqued interest. From that point on, she started to create her own raps and imagined herself as an artist on a daily basis. Jasmine also loved cartoons, sports and shows for younger audiences which made her imagine herself acting, playing sports and writing her own television shows. At age 11, Jasmine decided to take rapping seriously despite keeping it a secret from ages 7 to 13. It was at 14 that she started to write and record songs. One of her first covers was to Lil Wayne's "I'm Single." She called it "I'm Chillin." Over the years, Jasmine wrote and recorded many songs and covers. In high school she played softball and did marching band. She first performed in a high school talent show in 12th grade with her song "Ooh Kill Em." Unfortunately, Jasmine lost her oldest sister Shemia to Cancer in 2013, which took a major toll on her and her family.
Jasmine graduated high school in 2014 and attended Norwich University in which she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications concentrating in Digital Media Technology. After, she attended Sacred Heart University, finishing with a Masters in Film and Television Production. While at Sacred Heart, Jasmine completed 2 short films titled "Momma, I Just Wanna Cry" and "Natural Offenders." Jasmine also started her media brand "Frag Out! Entertainment," and she picked up the slack she had lost in the music and became more consistent in writing and recording. She dropped her debut mixtape "23" in 2019 on her birthday. Her second mixtape "True to Me" dropped in July 2020 and she is currently completing her upcoming third tape titled "24: Kobe Year." Jasmine's goal is to become a record selling recording artist and a television and film screenwriter/ director.
